As a Shift Leader you are responsible for completing a wide variety of tasks including waiting on customers, making food, stocking, cleaning, and other general store tasks. In addition, Shift Leaders are a lead co-worker at the store and delegate tasks, train co-workers, resolve customer complaints, troubleshoot register or transaction issues, set the example for excellent customer service, ensure the team focuses on achieving daily goals, assist with merchandising, and most importantly ensure that the highest quality of customer service is being met on a daily basis. This is a fast paced position and the ability to multi-task is essential! External hires with the aptitude for a Shift Leader position will initially be brought on as a Retail Co-worker, after 90 days of employment, external hires may then have the opportunity to be promoted into a Shift Leader position.
Work Schedule: This position does require evening and weekends.
- High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- At least 6 months of work experience in the service or retail industry including experience with customer service and money handling.
- Valid driver's license
- Demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively with customers and/or co-workers on a periodic basis where social sensitivity and effective interpersonal skills are necessary.
- Ability to read and understand reports, records and other business documents.
- Ability to set priorities, organize work, and exercise sound judgment.
Physical Requirements: Ability to stand/walk 10 hours a day; ability to lift 50 lbs, reach overhead, bend, squat, twist, reach, grasp, pinch, and grip.
