Job Description:
• We are looking to recruit a Shift Supervisor for their plant in Humberside
• Reporting to the Shift Manager, the post holder will be leading a small team of people and responsible for their on-going development within his/her business unit
• The successful candidate will manage all aspects of his/her team and have autonomy within this no nonsense structure, within a fast paced, high volume production environment.
• They are looking for proven leadership qualities and the ability to work as part of an overall highly focused management team
• You must have a 'hands on' approach and the desire to take ownership of a process which operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. With this in mind, it is important that you are willing to provide support outside of your normal working hours.
Candidate Requirements:
• Degree or BTEC/HND/HNC educated - preferably from within Manufacturing background or similar
• Previous Management experience at this or very similar level of working within a fast paced, high volume production environment will be a big advantage
• Can lead as well as be directed, make decisions and take full responsibility
• You must be results driven, always aiming to deliver what you set out to achieve
• You should have good people management skills as they are a critical in this role combined with energy, enthusiasm and initiative.
• Must already reside in UK or have a full work permit and speak/write fluently in English
• Willing to work a continuous rotating 4 shift pattern; which will include nights and weekends as required.
In return for meeting the above criteria the successful candidate will be rewarded with a salary of up to £35,000 (depending on experience). The package will also include benefits including 25 days holiday (plus stats), life assurance, contributory pension scheme.
