T. Parker Host, Inc., is looking for a team member to join our Baltimore port office. We are a Ship Agency firm representing international ship owners and cargo charterers with commercial port services and husbandry supervision for ocean going ships visiting the Port of Baltimore. Our primary trades serviced are dry bulk cargoes, such as coal, salt, paper, and miscellaneous alloys, however also represent break-bulk liner services, tankers, and occasionally passenger vessels.

Salary compensate with experience and skill sets offered, previous maritime experience and formal education is appreciated but not required, on the job training will be provided.

- ability to board ships via gangways and ladders both dock side and over open water.

- analytical and problem solving skills.

- ability to work overtime and adapt to fluid ship port schedules engaged in 24/7/365 port operations

 

Daily tasks would include and not be limited to:

 

- coordinating pilot, tug, linesman orders and berthing assignments for ocean going vessels

- preparation of US Customs Border Protection entrance/clearance forms and coordination

- preparation of commercial maritime documents

- act liaison between T Parker Host principals, ship owners, cargo interests and facility management.

- boarding of vessels at marine facilities in the Ports of Baltimore Delaware River
- arrangement of vessel husbandry services, deliveries and services

- internal administration accounting procedures
