RESPONSIBILITIES:
You will be responsible for the Shipping accounting function for a group of companies, quarterly intercompany billing and reconciliation. You are also involved in the month end closing and accurate financial data capturing, consolidation, year-end audit, assisting in preparing statutory financial reports and identify areas of improvement within the ERP system in producing financial reports. Additional responsibilities include fixed asset register, GST/VAT filing, ensuring compliance with Singapore and overseas laws and regulations, liaising with third parties etc.
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation of consolidated financial and management reports with variance analysis and monthly commentary.
- Prepare monthly group management accounts for Executive Team and Board of directors on timely basis.
- Prepare year end annual package Involve in detail financial analysis and submission of budgets, forecast and outlook to HQ
- Prepare cash management or any adhoc reporting
- Supervise month end closing, prepare monthly reporting and review Balance Sheet Reconciliation
- Prepare Year-end audit and assisting in preparing statutory financial reports
- Oversees the financial accounting and tax related matters
- Develop and maintain reports to aid the Management in analysing the Group’s performance.
- Prepare budgets for Annual Budgeting Exercise for the next 5 years.
- Supervise the month end closing, prepare monthly reporting and review Balance Sheet Reconciliation
- Assure adequate documentation/support of transactions and reports.
- Prepare tax computation, including freight tax or relevant schedules
- Liaise with our external tax department.
- Liaise and co-ordinate with internal and/or external Auditors to some level as and when required.
- Manage direct reports and ensuring team structures and job definitions and objectives are met
- Liaise with auditors, bankers, tax agents and secretarial agents on respective matters
- Actively involved in new Shipping system implementation projects
- Ensure Group accounting records are maintained in accordance with IFRS, Group Policies and legal agreements / contracts.
- Coordinate the implementation of accounting policies and control procedures
- Assist the Accounting Managers in handling the day to day matters.
QUALIFICATIONS AND / OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Degree in Accountancy/Finance/CPA/ACCA/Diploma
- Min 4 years and above related work experience in Bunkering accounting
- Construction/ Building accounting experience is an added advantage
- Knowledge of automated financial analysis and accounting reporting systems
- Knowledge of MNC reporting and Project reporting
- Good consolidation experience and solid financial analytical skill and able to ‘dive deep’ into numbers
- Hands on experience in SAP accounting system
- Proficient in MS Excel
- Knowledge in Softma – Triplepoint.
- Meticulous, independent, hardworking and able to deliver within tight deadlines
- Good communication and analytical skills in English and Chinese
