Job title: Distribution Coordinator/Shipping and Receiving Clerk Hours: 3am - 1:30pm - occasional OT (3:30pm) Location: Bensenville, IL -***This is a 3 month assignment**** . POSITION SUMMARY Responsible for order fulfillment activities at the APP Distribution Center in Bensenville, Illinois. This includes, but is not limited to, customer order picking, packing, and shipping activities, and daily assignments to support these activities. The Distribution Coordinator reports to the warehouse supervisors. PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES PERFORMED BY THE INCUMBENT The incumbent is responsible to: -Accurately pick customer orders according to product code, lot number, and quantity requested and move completed orders to packing lines. Report any discrepancies and/or damages to the Supervisor. No substitutions of product or lot number are permitted without Customer Operations authorization. -Check picked orders for accuracy of lot numbers, quantities and document completion. -Accurately pack customer orders according to products requested on order form. Pack completed orders in such a manner as to protect the product from loss or damage. -Process parcel shipments using the provided Ship Station Meters. Palletize metered packages for transfer to the appropriate carrier. -Scan and palletize cases, weigh and stretch wrap wholesale truck orders. Create packing slips and BOLs for the truck orders and stage for shipping -Loading and unloading as assigned. -Perform inventory cycle counts as required by Inventory Control. -Observe all safety guidelines; Inform Supervisor of any safety hazards; Attend all required safety training classes. -Able to operate fork lift and other material handling equipment as necessary to move materials while complying with all safety and operating rules. -Responsible to learn all applicable Standard Operating Procedures and compliancy with all regulations regarding the handling, storage, and shipping of Dangerous Drugs. -Responsible to understand and comply with all Company policies and procedures. -Cleans, maintains and ensures proper housekeeping in the facility to meet and exceed GMP requirements. -Responsible for additional projects and duties as assigned by Supervisor. REQUIREMENTS A minimum of 2 years experience at a position of responsibility (i.e. Warehouse worker, Order Fulfillment, etc.) and a good working knowledge of all functional areas of the warehouse. Some SAP (or equivalent systems) knowledge, some knowledge of Microsoft Office products with spreadsheet applications (Excel) skills, solid math skills, strong communication skills, effective problem solving skills, demonstrated use of sound judgment, good organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in team oriented environment.
