Shipping Supervisor Job in Utica 13501, New York US

Job Description:
Adecco the leader in workforce solutions is seeking a Shipping Supervisor for a growing manufacturer in Utica!

Key duties/responsibilities:

SHIPPING
• Oversees activities related to the shipping of products, including preparation of documentation, maintaining records, and coordinating logistics for product shipment.
• Generate and co-ordinate paperwork, bar codes, and any necessary forms for outbound shipments.
• Communicates with various carriers to arrange domestic and international shipments.
• Leads communications within the Shipping area.
• Maintains Shipping records, including providing tracking or shipping history information to customers on request.
• Answer customer and sales department inquiries concerning shipment issues.

PRODUCTION
• Ensures order accuracy and improves production standards.
• Reviews all customer requirements and ensures compliance; ensures boxes are prepared with appropriate labels for shipment as required.
• Review open customer orders, create pick worksheets on an as needed basis to efficiently meet the customer shipping schedule and satisfy the requested ship dates.
• Communicate shipping volumes and priorities to optimize available resources.

GENERAL
• Maintain knowledge of current international import/export regulatory requirements. Update applicable standard operating procedures as necessary.
• Maintain up to date manual containing specific shipping instructions including each customer’s unique requirements.

FINANCE
• Generate customer invoicing upon shipping.
• Audit waiting-to-ship reports daily to ensure all invoicing is completed.
• Review and audit freight bills for billing accuracy. Respond to billing questions from external freight payment services.

RMA’s
CUSTOMER RETURNS
• Coordinates Returned Material Authorization (RMA) process from receipt of paperwork to shipment.
• Being first point of contact for RMA requests.
• Acknowledging receipt of returns.
• Obtaining purchase orders from customers and updating Finance accordingly
• Liaising with Finance where particular payment conditions apply and assisting Finance with any RMA payment queries.
• Providing regular status updates to customers, including maintenance of spreadsheets where necessary.
• Setting and maintaining priorities
• Providing reports to the Repair team/Management as and when required
• Working with other areas of the business i.e. Engineering, Production, etc in order to expedite returns

VENDOR RETURNS
• Monitor open QAR’s
• Working close with purchasing team for RMA parts processing
• Following up on open issues and weekly / monthly reports handling
