Shipping Supervisor
Kelly Engineering Resources is currently seeking candidates for a Shipping Supervisor, located in York, PA. This is a permanent position. The qualified candidate must: Possess strong working knowledge of shipping domestic and international import/export. Have excellent understanding of drawings. Posess e xcellent organizational, internal communication and leadership skills. Have complete understanding of Production Flow. Responsibilities include: Department planning, assignment of work, and day to day department activities to insure production schedules, quality standards and productivity standards are achieved. Ability to work effectively with other departments to insure on-time delivery of equipment to customers is essential. Observing safety regulations and exhibit a concern for safety. Showing commitment to quality ethics and focuses on meeting the needs and expectations of both internal and external customers. Managing time, skills and resources to produce maximum volume of work and reduction of errors. Assessing and prioritizing work requirements; develop and execute plans in a timely manner and accepts advice and/or direction well. Coordinate department requirements for equipment utilization, area flow maximization, work schedules and manpower requirements in conjunction with Production Control schedules for production needs to meet customer deliveries. Supervise hourly union workforce. Assign work, assist in set-up and work instructions, review progress, productivity and quality. Enforce Company disciplinary and attendance policies. Serve on the Safety Committee, manage department safety and enforce Coordinate with Manufacturing Engineering and Design Engineering to correct or improve design or manufacturability. . QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or equivalent is required. Technical trade degree a plus. Five years related trade experience required. Prior supervisory experience in a union environment a benefit. Experience working in SAP ERP System is a plus.
