Silverlight Team Lead
The role is providing development functions for the Investment Bank's Global Credit Risk systems, consisting of a number of high-profile applications, with a user base running to several thousands.
The team is presently split across London, Singapore however the role involves working with people globally, including Zurich and New York. The role will also involve leading development work and overseeing the numerous projects on the system.
Under the guidance of a Development Team Leader, work directly with allocated Project Managers, Business Analysts and external IT and business teams to implement change requests and new features.
- Provide support for the existing systems where required
- Provide leadership to London-based resources
- Design and implement new EUC functionality from the front end gui to back end database
- Write code to implement business logic
- Write and amend stored procedures in the Sybase/SQL Server databases
- Utilize standards, architectures, and processes to ensure that all code and development practices conform to company guidelines and industry best practices
- Participate in all aspects of the project lifecycle, following stringent rules and procedures for testing and promoting code in compliance with company change control processes
- Show ability to be an effective team member working closely with colleagues from multiple teams and disciplines, bringing added value to the team.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Show understanding of good project planning practices and team management processes
- In a major production incident situation this role may require out of office hours work.
CRO IT is an approx 400 person group within IBIT supporting the investment banking part of the Chief Risk Officer (CRO) shared service function. CRO IT designs, develops and supports the IT systems that measure and manage the market, credit and operational risk of the investment bank. The risks calculated by our systems are used in regulatory reporting, reporting to senior business and risk management and FO business leads.
The successful candidate will be working within the EUC(End User Computing) Decomissioning team
This position requires:
- Development background using:
- WPF, MVVM, Silverlight, C#.Net 4.0, WCF, IIS SQL ServerSybase
- Experience with Continuos Integration, Subversion, Unit Testing, Mocking,
- Test Driven Development, Jira, Fisheye, Crucible, Quality Center, Agile
- Methodology
- Strong IT commercial experience
- Exposure to a broad range of technical skills and a genuine interest in computing.
- Experience with all phases of the systems development lifecycle
- A solid understanding of standard change control policies and procedures and experience working in an IT environment with rigorous change control procedures
- Excellent organizational, problem solving, and written/verbal communication skills.
- Track record of delivering to specification and to deadlines
- Team player
- Proactive approach to work
- Business knowledge of Credit Risk (desirable)
