Red Canyon is seeking a self-motivated, detail oriented, goal driven individual to be a Staff Engineer on the Orion spacecraft program.

Description:

You will be developing high-fidelity flight simulations to conduct flight research and to advance state-of-the-art simulation technology, including one or more of the following:

·         Software or hardware development for high-fidelity flight simulations

·         Design of new aircraft guidance and control systems

·         Human factors implications of new or existing flight deck displays

·         Aerospace operations air traffic control and automation

Required Skills:

·         At least 5 years of experience in:

o   Design

o   Development

o   Operations of High Fidelity Software Simulations

·         Bachelor Degree, Masters preferred

·         Strong technical and communicative skills

·         Self-motivated, detail oriented, goal driven

·         Passionate about space exploration

·         US Citizen

Desired Skills:

·         Experience with the following systems is a plus:

o   Experience designing high-fidelity flight simulations (software or hardware)

o   Vertical Motion Simulations

o   Spacecraft Simulations

o   Vertical/Short Take-Off and Landing (V/STOL) simulations

o   NASA Ames Vertical Motion Simulation Complex (VMSC)

o   NASA Ames Distributed Simulation Research Laboratory (DSRL)

o   NASA Ames Crew-Vehicle Systems Research Facility (CVSRF)

o   NASA Ames FutureFlight Central (FFC)
