Macquarie Securities Group (MSG) is a global institutional securities house with strong Asia-Pacific foundations covering sales, research, ECM, execution and derivatives and delta one activities. The group uses its research and risk management skills to develop equity-based solutions and services for clients internationally.
The Arbitrage Division operates as a globally coordinated team to provide best execution to clients and greater efficiency to financial markets across the spectrum of asset classes and financial products. The Arbitrage team levers Macquarie's strengths to achieve optimal outcomes and deliver value. It specialises in solutions to help navigate regulatory environments, transaction costs, investor mandates and multiple listings across different time zones. The Arbitrage Division is based in Singapore, Hong Kong, London and New York.
Key responsibilities:
- Take responsibility for event driven, special situation, primary/secondary placements, relative value, share class arbitrage, capital structure arbitrage and stub trading
- Understand and seek to capitalise on Macquarie's unique attributes and edge
- Prudent management of risks, transparent communication with and escalation to management
- Engage with support functions to enhance trading tools and develop sustainable business structures
- Develop relationships with local brokers, Hedge funds and asset managers in the region
To be successful you will:
- Demonstrate experience trading equities, FX, NDF's, futures and credit. Experience of derivatives and convertible bonds is ideal
- Exhibit strong, broad relationships with both buy side and sell side institutions
- Have excellent communications skills and be able to work as a team player
- Take on the role of a mentor for existing traders
- Be competitive, hard working, driven by success and committed to quality output
