SITE ELECTRICAL ENGINEER
£45'000 Mon-Fri
Our client is a global FMCG company and a leading organisation in the UK and worldwide food manufacturing sector. With continuing investment into there UK sites and expansion of one of its key sites they are now looking for an Site Electrical Engineer.
Reporting into the Factory Lead Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring electrical compliance across site by developing and maintaining electrical strategy. You'll need to have an extensive knowledge of electrical compliance and specifications as well as a hands-on and practical approach to the role. You'll be the sites Senior Duty Holder with responsibilities for, but not limited to, design, installation, commissioning and maintenance linked with sites continuous improvement. The role will be challenging and rewarding, giving you the opportunity to work with some of industries leading technologies.
The successful applicant will be experienced in management and maintenance management, preferably within a FMCG environment. The daily activity for the role will see you drive the companies values and be able to present and influence senior management, coach and develop other electrical engineers, carry out electrical audits and be actively involved in all projects on site. You will also be tasked with carrying out risk assessments, contractor selection and management and budget responsibility.
You will be experienced in TPM, DMAIC, 5S and LEAN Engineering practises. We are looking for someone who is Charted or Incorporated (C.Eng or I.Eng) in engineering, degree educated and that has desirably completed a time-served apprentice.
You'll be working Monday to Friday, but flexibility is required for the role which may include evening or weekend working.
