Site Engineer / No.2 Site Manager Job in Guildford, Southern UK
A highly successful regional contractor has a new requirement for a Site Engineer due to new projects won.
They are looking for someone who ideally has a degree in Civil Engineering or a Construction related degree.
To have 3/4 years experience post qualification, and ideally with a main or regional contractor.
On-site you will be responsible for;
- Set up and use Total Station/EDM equipment for establishing control, detail surveying, setting out and coordinate checks.
- Extract and relate coordinate information from drawings.
- Record angle and distance observations in the field.
- Calculate rectangular coordinate information from field observations.
- Calculate polar coordinate setting out information from drawings.
- Maintain clear records of calculations.
- Check for sources of errors with the Total Station/EDM equipment and accessories.
You will be able to work on your own initiative, be able to liaise on-site and look at Design related issues.
You will be ambitious, driven and would like to progress into Site Management.
You must drive and have own car, and be prepared to visit sites in Kent, Surrey, Hants and into London.
This is an immediate requirement.
