RESPONSIBILITIES: Perform and supervise logistics operational tasks in support of a large manufacturing facility. In this role you will have primarily reasponsability for the following: Waste Transportation/Operations support - manage and support operational responsibilities/relationships with current INVISTA approved/certified bulk product carrier and waste transporters Site Logistics Supervisor - lead, manage and serve as a single point of contact for the Victoria, TX site Site Transportation Compliance System Owner - implement appropriate controls to ensure compliance with applicable legal requirements for transportation activities/regulations between Site Operations, INVISTA Logistics and Transportation Compliance manager. Other responsibilities will include: Demonstrated success in a transportation/logistics operations environment Demonstrates initiative and sense of urgency to get the job done; a self-starter Ability to provide logistics solutions that improve services or reduce costs Ability to achieve results through effective working relationships with internal and external business partners Ability to manage and drive process improvements with vendors and internal customers REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE 5+ years experience in transportation or logistics 2+ years supervisory experience Experience with domestic transportation Experience with quality systems and application at a large manufacturing facility Experience with transportation rules and regulations concerning hazardous materials and other goods Experience with MS Office Software (Excel - working knowledge of pivot tables and data analysis; Word - document creation/editing; Power Point - presentation creating/editing) PREFERRED EDUCATION Bachelors degree (BS or BA) in Supply Chain, Logistics or similar discipline We are an equal opportunity employer.
