Job Description:
Our client is a major player in the online search space.
They are looking for a long-term freelance Site Merchandiser to join their online publications/books team.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute an annual merchandising calendar of seasonal campaigns and promotions across diverse channels
- Coordinate with internal and external partnerships teams to develop and launch effective store content and promotions
- Work cross-functionally to define and implement merchandising tools and processes, and site-wide improvements
- Conduct metrics-based analyses of merchandising campaigns and provide recommendations for enhancing their effectiveness
- Support sales and technical teams to troubleshoot customer-facing issues
- Contribute to global eBooks merchandising team and its efforts to drive site improvements and innovative features on behalf of users worldwide
Requirements:
- 3-5 years experience in books merchandising
- Familiarity with MS Office and Photoshop
- Ability to work across functions and divisions with high attention to detail
Preferred:
- Knowledge of book industry verticals in the US and Canada
- Experience creating cooperative advertising plans, and managing a retail PL experience
- Understanding and use of web metrics
- Knowledge of digital media consumption trends
- Proven ability to build and maintain vendor relationships
- Familiarity with HTML/XML
Position starts 11/15.
Pay rate is anywhere from $35-45/hr.
