SLAMEM/Ops Research Analyst - DIRECT LABOR
Modeling, analytical and operational support services for the Office of the Secretary of
Defense (OSD). The successful candidate will apply expertise in operations research analysis for Simulation
and Analysis Center (SAC) projects. The SAC is a part of the Office of the Director, Cost Assessment and
Program Evaluation. Cost Assessment and Program Evaluation (CAPE) is responsible for performing
capability, weapons system, force structure and readiness analyses in a joint, theater context to support the
Defense Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution System (PPBES). S/he will be involved in all
aspects of the analytical process and will provide focused reviews of defense capabilities and requirements to
support CAPE with Joint campaign and mission-level modeling, assessments, studies and analysis of joint
regional conventional and non-conventional operations. The candidate must be able to present analytical
results in the form of quick-turn analysis and briefings and reports for senior leadership. The successful
candidate must have a strong work ethic, be a team player, and demonstrate excellent oral and written
communications skills. Individual must work with other government and contractor analysts at the customer
1. Experience and skilled use of SLAMEM (Simulation of the
Locations and Attack of Mobile Enemy Missiles) is required. Experience with other DoD models (STORM, NSS, JICM) is a plus. 2.Subject matter expertise in C4ISR is required. 3.Experience in the areas of campaign analysis, modeling, operations research or equivalent experience. 4. Experience with Microsoft Office is required; experience with database software is a plus. 5. Experience with operations planning at the service
component or combatant command level and/or equivalent experience. 6. Experience with Microsoft Office suite of software applications. 7. Bachelor's Degree (Master's preferred) in Operations Research, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Quantitative Social Science or related field.
