As an Outside Sales Representative with NFIB, you will grow the small business membership base and revenue in your designated protected sales territory. You will utilize a success-proven sales presentation to do high-volume cold calling on leads provided by NFIB, which includes home-based businesses. · Persuading ??gatekeeper ? employees to allow you to meet with small business decision makers · Engaging in one-call short-cycle sales closes · Submitting sales numbers electronically or via mail once per week · Working with your sales trainer and manager on improving your sales skills and business acumen through conference calls, webinars and in-person training sessions Job Requirements As an Outside Sales Representative with NFIB, you must possess excellent interpersonal communication, planning and organizational skills as well as a strong work ethic. You must be an articulate, outgoing and personable self-manager who can work independently and is eager to hone your sales skills. You must be persistent and resilient, as sales is a numbers game - the more businesses you visit, the more sales you win, so you must be efficient in the use of your time. · Minimum 2 years work experience required; dedicated outside sales preferred; experience with intangible or consumer sales is a plus. · Reliable transportation and valid driver ??s license · Basic computer literacy · No more than 3 moving violations or 1 DUI in the past 3 years · Ability to be on your feet and call on businesses all day · Interest in small business economics, public policy and state/federal legislation that affects small businesses · Ability to thrive in a performance-drive and autonomous work environment NFIB offers To ensure that you succeed as an Outside Sales Representative we provide four weeks of paid in-field training, a comprehensive sales kit and prospect list and ongoing in-field and classroom training sessions organized by your Sales Manager.
