SMB Marketing Manager Job in Redwood Shores 94065, California US
The SMB Marketing Manager will be a member of the SMB team and will play a key role in growing and managing the SMB market space worldwide. This individual will leverage segmentation insights and become experts in specific segment needs, positioning and value that translate into integrated marketing initiatives. Works closely with a wide range of internal partners including new market, product managers, sales, engineering, pricing and channel marketing ensuring appropriate programs and a timely delivery to market. Ideal candidate with have a history and thorough understanding of internal delivery of programs as well as external web based offerings. Key elements of this role include strong strategic and analytical market thinking based around the SMB market place with the ability to collaborate cross functionality and influence constituencies across the organizations.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Provide ongoing team updates on campaign components and implementation progress to plan
- Interface with corporate marketing and product managers to execute timely and compelling SMB offers and creative messaging
- Design and implement content delivery vehicles for the SMB market segment
- Participates in regular strategy meetings and develops new programs and initiatives that are designed to further the SMB mission
- Develop creative and effective campaigns for the SMB teams to drive new leads
- Research and evaluate new technologies and techniques to increase lead acquisition and conversion
- Works effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team to communicate, coordinate and integrate SMB marketing and apply best in class practices
- Assist with the development, writing and communication of marketing plans, promotional recaps, creative briefs, project recommendations and presentations.
- Ensures that all locally-developed creative marketing materials undergo brand review and adhere to strict brand guidelines
- Understand the Qualys SMB market, buyers, triggers and processes
- Participate in weekly sales training sessions that are designed to inform and update the company about marketing activities, initiatives and progress
- Understand the competitive landscape and drive competitive position in order to gain market share
Experience / Requirements
- Ideal candidate must have 5+ years of product marketing or segment marketing with a focus of supporting the SMB space
- Bachelor Degree or equivalent experience required
- Experience in technology and or security solutions
- Proven track record of creating and implementing innovative SMB customer acquisition programs focused on lead generation and achieving/exceeding growth targets
- Promotional offer development, implementation and tracking across multiple campaigns
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, includes editing and proofreading to produce quality marketing materials. Strong writing skills with the ability to compose creative, concise directed copy, which is both informative and accurate.

- Must be a team player willing to actively collaborate with Marketing, PM, SMB sales and key stakeholders to effectively align and communicate key goals and objectives
