SME Finance Manager

Our client, a global business intelligence company with a turnover of £5 million based in the City is looking for a Newly Qualified Finance Manager. You will be reporting to the CEO, supervising one part qualified accountant and taking ownership of the management and financial reporting for business for the entities across the UK and America. To be considered for this role, you must have experience working within a ‘hands on’ environment within industry.

Responsibilities will include:
· Preparing the monthly management accounts for 3 entities
· Monthly consolidation of the PL and Cash flow for the group
· Reporting of the Budgets and Forecasts to Senior Management
· Producing variance analysis against budget
· Working closely with the MD, providing ad-hoc analysis
· Analyse all costs applied to individual cost centres
· Preparing the annual statutory accounts under UK GAAP and IFRS
· Preparing the VAT returns and Corporation tax
· Liaising with the external auditors
· Ensure the relationships with the key stakeholders are managed and maintained
· Supervising 1 Finance Assistant
· Identify and implement controls and process improvements
· Build and motivate the finance team as it grows

The candidate:
· Qualified Accountant (CIMA/ACCA)
· Must have experience of Sage Line 50
· Attention to detail
· Excellent communication skills
· Experience within an SME business
· Experience of foreign currencies is a bonus
