This company is a significant force in the fields of construction and contract mining. Well established operations already established in Australia and across the globe and a driving workforce of 30,000 employees. They are now looking to increase the size and scope of its operations. We currently have an opportunity for an Estimator to join the Brisbane team.
Reporting to the Estimating Manager and working as a part of a results focused team you will be the key person to drive continual improvement within the Eastern region.
Within this role you will be responsible for ensuring that projects are researched, planned, estimated, prepared and tendered in an efficient manner. You will be a Mechanical engineer or Trade Qualified and have a minimum of 5 years experience in a contracting environment with a minimum 1 years experience working on projects within Australia. Project engineers or site engineers with a background in Materials Handling are also encouraged to apply as these roles will also be coming available.
As an estimator you will work closely with the Project Managers in pricing projects for this company and will be solely in charge of all pricing and preparation of ‘hard dollar’ tenders, liaising with subcontractors at pre-tender stage, price Bills of Quantities on each trade to establish a total project cost as well as some cost planning.
