The role of Self Managed Superannuation Fund Accountant is to ensure all financial reporting and compliance obligations are supported and met for the Self Managed Superannuation Funds under the MLC SMSF Service.
In this role, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Ensuring all reporting is accurate and timely and providing support for any applicable system changes
- Preparation and review of annual financial statements, SMSF tax returns and other tax, statutory and industry returns where applicable
- Preparing and managing the data and producing the annual actuarial reporting project
- Technical support in relation to tax, EOY and system issues, including software upgrades, changes in legislation and annual reporting
- Building rapport and liaising with external actuaries, auditors as well as dealing with internal and external customer queries
- Providing prompt escalation of issues and participate in the resolution and response back to the customer/adviser
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Two-five years of relevant financial reporting experience in a financial services environment or accounting firm
- Proven experience in preparing financial statements, operating statement, statement of financial position, profit and loss statements, balance sheets, cash flows, tax and notes to financial statements
- A strong customer excellence focus - effectively meeting customer needs; building productive relationships; taking responsibility for satisfaction and loyalty
- Tertiary qualifications in Accounting withCA/CPA qualifications (or near to)
- SMSF experience is preferred
