Snr Associate/VP – M&A – some TMT. recruitment
This is an opportunity for an investment banker who is ready to roll their sleeves up and get involved in all aspects of transaction execution and origination at a Corporate Finance boutique. Associate 2 would be minimum and more likely a newly-minted VP.
You will be expected to work side by side with a leading Managing Director on a variety of corporate finance deals. Your work could encompass technical aspects - DCFs, valuations, writing and delivering small pitches, day-to-day deal management or anything else that is thrown up in the course of a transaction.
The workload is manageable - boutique hours - but the work is demanding and something that could only done successfully by a determined personality who is looking for a challenging environment from which they would emerge a much better banker.
Small deal teams, lots of responsibility, client time on your own - in many ways this more akin to a junior VP role - one you could expect to develop into an origination mandate in a fraction of the time it would take to do this at a more bureaucratic institution.
TMT experience an advantage - at minimum an interest. A big advantage would be the ability to start immediately and the need to go through a visa sponsorship or similar process would be unlikely for that reason
