Snr Business Intelligence Analyst
Do you understand the key drivers in the bank's Collections business? Do you possess the technical expertise to mine and transform large and disparate data sources into usable information? Do you have the proven experience to effectively analyse information for themes and then communicate the main underlying message and associated recommendations for business improvement to a senior and expert audience? Can you prioritise and self- manage yourself and others to aggressive business timelines?
The Team
The BI Reporting team works within the Business Intelligence Optimisation department and partners with stakeholders within the collections business to understand business goals, business problems and the way to business operates, with the goal of providing relevant reporting, visualisation and analysis.
The Opportunity
Based at our Parramatta NSW site, the Senior BI Analyst will be part of an existing team reporting to the Manager Business Intelligence. You will work with data from across our business (some from structured datamart's and some direct from systems, applications or processes) using SQL or SAS to deliver extracts, dashboards or analysis packs sharing the story of performance with our stakeholders and our senior leadership team.

- You understand the drivers in a collections business and understand how the operating model is structured
- You use this knowledge and your technical skills with SQL or SAS to tell the story of performance sharing opportunities for improvements or success with our stakeholders
- You plan, design, build, test and deploy projects to agreed time, cost, scope quality and risk parameters in a controlled professional manner
- You establish and maintain strong business relationships to ensure you understand business goals, problems and structure and use this information to add value
- You use of your time is structured and geared towards eliminating waste, identifying where value sits in your role and delivering within the working week
What Will Help You Succeed?
- Technical expertise in SAS and ideally also in SQL (SQL Server or Oracle), though the latter is not essential
- Thorough working knowledge of the MS Suite
- Thorough working knowledge of Tableau looked on favourably or similar visualisation tool
- Proven ability to critically analyse, interpret and report on information in order to offer sound and credible insights to individual and team trends, business output and performance.
- Knowledge of collections and credit solutions within a retail banking environment at an operational and preferably strategic level.
- Experience in a Contact centre environment (people, process technology)
- Prior experience in delivering process improvement activities that enhance and drive quality and financial outcomes.
- Superior organisational, planning, stakeholder management and influencing skills.
- Project management experience looked on favourably.
- Sophisticated communication skills to offer clear insights and recommendations up to senior levels.
