Senior Development Engineer -Mechanical Engineering-High Precision-Contact Lenses-Hampshire £40-£50K
Our client is a leading global manufacturer of contact lenses and aftercare solutions, manufacturing the widest range of contact lens care products in today's market.
As the Senior Development Engineer, you will work closely with the Technical Director and will be responsible for developing new products, metrology and manufacturing processes and for improving product cost, delivery and quality.
Additionally, you will be responsible for independently managing improvement projects from inception to implementation. You will liaise with customers, vendors and consultants, both in the UK and internationally and will also be responsible for validating new processes and equipment.
To be considered for this position you must have:
- Proven experience gained with a high procession manufacturing environment, ideally medical devices.
- Project management experience, including attending steering committee meetings
- A degree in Physics, Mechanical Engineering or similar discipline
- Excellent IT skills including working knowledge of AutoCAD
Experience in the Contact Lens, Medical Device or Pharmaceutical industry would be a distinct advantage as would an understanding of optics, metrology, experimental design and evaluation.
