SOA Applications
Solidus is searching for a Software Developer to develop, integrate and test solutions to for several inter-related projects. Work will include developing advanced SOA-based applications and services that are secure, assured, and robust in a variety of challenged networking environments. Candidate will work with project teams to produce, test, deliver and support code for research initiatives, internal project collaborations and external project deliverables in operationally relevant environments.
The successful candidate will work in a group that serves as a center for development of network-centric software tools based on Service-Oriented Architecture and leveraging the Dept. of Defense Net-Centric Enterprise Services (NCES). Thsi group is using Web 2.0 technologies to expose data from a diverse set of external sensors and data feeds, develop operationally relevant mission and cross-mission services, and integrate these into next-generation situational awareness displays for senior government leadership. Proof-of-concept objectives include exposure of sensor data in common formats, machine-to-machine messaging, development of services that can be composed into user-defined processing chains and development of advanced thin client, web-browser-based situational awareness displays.
Requirements:
- US Citizenship and the ability to obtain a DoD Secret CLearance
- BS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related field
- Two years directly related experience
- Excellent programming skills with Java, JavaScript, and modern software development tools
- Experience with XML and Eclipse
- Demonstrated understanding of SOA concepts and technologies such as WSDL, SOAP, Camel, and JMS
- Experience with advanced user interface design, and incorporating user feedback
- Experience with coordinate transformation and visualization of complex geo-spatial data is desired
- Candidate shall be a self-motivated developer who explores and uses the latest software techniques and technologies
- Candidate must have good oral and written communication skills and the ability to work well in a team
