Social Media and Public Relations Coordinator Job in Westlake Village, California US
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Responsible for coordinating, supporting and developing US marketing Social Media and Public Relations initiatives, including communications and messaging via social media platforms(Facebook, Twitter, Youtube, Blogger, Linkedin) to achieve applicable KPI’s.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Serve as contact point/project leader for US Social Media and PR projects by working collaboratively with US team members and external vendors, to support development and implementation of company social media and public relations strategies
- Recommend and develop and overall social media strategy – building and executing plan to support and increase JAFRA’s social media impact.
- Develop effective PR communication materials in coordination with external contractors, as needed, for internal and external US PR communications including, but not limited to, products, sales tools, PR materials, website content, newsletters and social media communication channels
- Actively monitor social media sites including performing competitive analysis and apprise the team of important news impacting the company and direct selling industry in general.
- Analyze analytics report and develop action items which help meet company’s social media goals.
- Handle day-to-day social media management and customer engagement through posts on all social media formats – engaging audience with creative, timely messaging.
- Maintain the consistency of brand messaging and voice across all social media and PR platforms.
- Under the direction of Marketing Communications Manager, monitor PR and Social Media budgets with prior approval of strategies and contracted services
- Handle administrative duties required for product launches, media pitches and other PR and Social Media projects; fulfilling media product requests.
- Track, archive and submit PR coverage for cross-publication in JAFRA print and web communications
- Develop and provide monthly calendar of communication activities as well as annual action plan/calendar that supports defined Social Media and Public Relations strategies and initiatives
- Ability to perform copywriting duties such as blogging, press releases and article writing.
- Review and edit communications for adherence to brand guidelines.
- Develop and share weekly update mechanism
- Participation on special projects/task force teams and assist in copywriting and proofreading for all communication channels, including print and web when needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, English, Journalism or a related field required.
Experience: 3-5 years experience in social media, public relations and interactive marketing or agency experience a plus. Prior association and/or experience in multicultural or international environment desired but not necessary.
Skills: Ability to effectively work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects. Self-motivated – able to work with minimal direction and oversight. Resourcefulness in solving problems and encouraging collaborating departments to meet goals and deadlines. Avid team player. Excellent people skills with an upbeat and enthusiastic attitude. Strong project management, time management, multi-tasking, organizational skills and keen attention to detail. Superior professionalism and judgment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Bilingual, Spanish – English both verbal and written required.
