Essential Job Description:
This position is responsible for leading the company’s social media marketing activities. Specifically:
- Create social media strategy in collaboration with marketing leadership
- Leverage social media tools to achieve strategic goals for the company
- Be an advocate for SM in the company; partner and collaborate with Marketing, Sales, and other teams to ensure SM strategy and tactics are understood and effective
- Responsible for the daily maintenance of all external social media properties on behalf of Line 6, including but not limited to managing the creation and design, daily communication, analytics and metrics, course corrections based on metrics and other indicators, social applications, sweepstakes and all aspects of each social platform.
- Responsible for growing qualified social media following
- Maintain consistency with all brand and product positioning and messaging via Line 6 social media properties
- Integrate with customer service to ensure all customer service-related comments and questions are addressed within 72 hours
- Coordinates with Public Relations Manager to ensure tight integration of public relations and social media activity
- Tracks and reports on all key social media metrics, including, but not limited to Facebook likes, Facebook interactions, Twitter retweets and @ tweets, YouTube followers, YouTube views, social media brand mentions and sentiment, inbound social media traffic referrals, etc. with a focus on quantifying public relations ROI.
- Handles social media administrative duties as required, including managing contracts with third party providers, sending and coordinating return of gear for social media (e.g. YouTube) social media influencers
Experience/Qualifications:
- 3 years of social media and digital experience; music-related or music instrument-related company experience a plus
- Passion for social media
- Strong knowledge base and interest in emerging social media trends and platforms
- Proven track record creating and building vibrant social pages and fan bases (across Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, YouTube, etc.)
- Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college
Skills Required:
- Experience with monitoring, breaking and curating information in real time through social media
- Experience in gathering and analyzing metrics, especially social analytics
- Understanding of Line 6 products, or products in the MI and pro audio space is a plus
- Ability to translate strategy to tactics and convert strategic direction to action plans
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Ability to work inter-departmentally to gather information and gain consensus
- Ability to interact with people at different levels of the company
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities and time
- Excellent organizational and project management skills
- Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
- Detail-oriented
- Mastery of office computer skills – email, word processing, spreadsheets, and project management software
