Social Worker - LCSW

Responsibilities Demonstrates expertise in social work, working as a member of an inter-disciplinary team comprised of a physician, nurse and social worker. Occasionally plans educational offerings and ensures continuing education requirements are met. Applies specialized knowledge of human development and behavior and social, economic, and cultural systems in directly assisting older adults and families to improve or restore their capacity for social functioning including counseling and use of psychosocial interventions and social psychotherapy. Performs social psychotherapy without supervision and may provide supervision to LSW engaged in social psychotherapy. 1. Formal Education Required: - Masters Degree in Social Work - Current Ohio LISW License 2. Experience Training Required: - One (1) to three (3) years of social work experience preferred 3. Other Skills, Competencies and Qualifications: - Possesses sound knowledge of community resources/agencies that serve the geriatric populations - Ability to communicate effectively, accept and institute change and work independently as well as collaborate with others - Ability to effectively interact with populations of patients/customers with an understanding of their needs for self-respect and dignity Schedule every weekend
