We are seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to identify, drive and manage improvements in the Quality aspects of Electronics activities, including Systems, Software, Hardware and Project Management.

As Quality Engineer you will be responsible for ensuring the needs of the site Quality Organisation are met. You will use problem solving techniques to satisfy quality issues/ concerns, in addition to facilitating problem solving sessions and leading process improvement initiatives. You will participate in design and project reviews, and have a good working knowledge of ISO 16949 and ISO 15504

As well as doing the above, you will: perform and report local site and project audits; ensure that all customer identified quality issues undergo a formal problem analysis process; ensure that all internally identified quality issues are considered for formal analysis by the management team; manage all quality driven actions to a satisfactory conclusion and lead and document all formal problem solving analyses.

You will also be required to ensure measures of performance are defined for project and functional process performance, to collect, collate, analyse project and functional process measures of performance and present at the monthly management meeting, and be a member of the review team for formal project and technical reviews as required.

To succeed as Quality Engineer you should be qualified to degree level in Software or Electronic Engineering and have experience using C Programming Language. You must be comfortable working in a software engineering environment across a number of customer project teams, with experience of leading problem solving and using problem solving techniques such as 8D and 5Why. Experience of a similar role within the automotive sector and of working in Process/Software Quality is also essential. You must also have experience of the following: ISO 16949; APQP; PDP; PPAP; CMM/CMMi and SPICE (ISO 15504).
