Software Applications Engineer
Hunter Engineering Company is a world leader in automotive service equipment, offering state-of-the-art wheel alignment systems, wheel balancers, lift racks and more. Hunter equipment is approved and used by vehicle manufacturers, automobile and truck dealers, tire dealers and automotive service facilities around the world. We are currently searching for an experienced Software Applications Engineer for our corporate headquarters in St. Louis, Missouri.
Job Summary:
This C++ software developer will develop graphical applications for the Windows and Linux operating systems. They will work to enhance existing applications that will include Hunter’s proprietary software. The developer will be responsible for taking new features and applications from concept to completion and will be responsible for maintaining their own code and for creating procedures for testing their code.
Education Requirements:
Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or related field.
Qualifications and Experience Requirements:
Qualified applicants can develop primarily in C++ for Windows, but depending on skills, the developer may work in other environments including Linux/GTK and C#/.NET. Applicants should have experience and talent in developing highly interactive graphical applications utilizing 2D and 3D graphics and must have experience working within a team of developers. Hunter Engineering utilizes a range of technology to develop its applications, and the best qualified applicant will have 4 or more years experience with the following:
· C++ development for Windows
· C#/.NET development for Windows
· MFC development for Windows
Other desirable skills include:
· Linux C++ development
· Direct3D development for windows.
· OpenGL development for Windows and Linux
· GTK Development for Linux
· OSG (OpenSceneGraph) development for Linux.
