Position Summary (Overall purpose and objective of the position)
The software Business Analyst, reporting directly to the Senior Product Manager, will handle the end-to-end management of new enhancements for specific products, including gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, writing of functional requirements, project coordination of development and QA release cycles for StoneRiver-RegEd.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities

• Develop user business / functional requirements
• Help define the product release schedule
• Deliver MRDs and PRDs with prioritized features and corresponding justification
• Work closely with the technology developers, internal staff and key clients to better the RegEd product
• Run beta and pilot programs with early-stage products and samples
• Be an expert with respect to competitive firms and product offers
• Educate sales force and other internal customers on product attributes and positioning
• Drive and/or assist with primary and secondary market research

Job Related Experience: 3+ years experience within software product and project management

Skills and Abilities:
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a SOFTWARE business analyst, product manager or in a product management-related position
• Experience with writing user and functional business requirements for a technical audience
• Knowledgeable in internet web application technologies and a strong understanding of web 2.0 SaaS application design
• Pervasive focus on user experience and UI design
• Ability to work within a fast-paced environment
• Ability to coordinate efforts across multiple products/projects concurrently
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong initiative and self-motivation
• Strong interpersonal skills; demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with a wide range of individuals at all levels of the organization
• Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
• Demonstrated success defining and launching excellent products
• Some knowledge of the financial services / insurance / securities compliance industry’s concepts, practices, and procedures

Minimum Education: BA/BS degree in Marketing, Business, Communications or related field or equivalent related experience. (MBA preferred).
