GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
· Under general supervision, develops, codes, tests and debugs new moderately complex software solutions or enhancements to existing software in a maintenance capacity.
· Has good understanding of business application.
· Works with technical staff to understand problems with software and resolve them.
· Resolves customer complaints with software and responds to suggestions for improvements and enhancements.
· May assist in development of software technical documentation.
· Demonstrates software.
· Designs and codes moderately complex applications using routine and/or advanced technology;
· May create optimization programs to resolve problems;
· May design and build prototype applications;
· Will work on My Sabre products focusing on maintaining the existing leisure market share and building new applications for online travel sites.
EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree or equivalent. EXPERIENCE: Minimum 3 years related experience. Good written and verbal communication skills; ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Technical skills:
· Advanced knowledge in C++ (MS Visual C++) and/or advanced knowledge of .NET development in C#
· Experience in building multi-tier applications (user interface, intermediate layer, database). ASP.NET-based web services, messaging queues (MSQM, ActiveMQ or MQ Series)
· Experience in working with Oracle database
· Object Oriented Programming (OOP), Simple Design
Additionally experience in the following would be a plus:
· Familiarity with Agile Programming concepts
· Service Oriented Programming (SOP)
· Spring.NET/NHibernate
· Microsoft WPF and WCF technologies
