You should have experience in OOD, a standard programming language (preferably C++), a background in engineering, computer science, or any education that has given you sufficient exposure to computers and programming to be effective on day one (this could be a degree in Music if you were programming for it).
However, more important than all of the above is a passion to learn, build and create. Years of software engineering/development experience: 1-4
What type of work will I do as a software developer?
- Design new applications and application components
- Write applications for Android, iOS, Web (php, jquery, javascript), and more
- Create back-end systems for those applications
- Create design documentation and develop tests
- Use Agile Development / SCRUM
- Communicate with Customers/QA/CRM (Customer Relationship Managers)/Partners
- Some travel is required (we meet a minimum of once a year), more may be necessary.
