Selected candidates will be responsible for performingSoftware Engineering tasks that could be anywhere within the software development life cycle. This includes requirements definition, design, code, SW test or documentation for commercial/business/commuter aircraft Flight Management Systems (FMS). Assignments will include designing new applications, as well as modifying existing applications. The candidate will work with other engineers as part of a project team using DO-178B processes and documentation.
Must have experience withreal-time embedded software development processes including an understanding of requirements, coding, test/debug, writing test cases and test procedures, running test procedures and performing structural coverage analysis. A background in avionics and/or aircraft systems is preferred. Familiarity with Guidance, Navigation, Performance, Flight Planning and/orBITE desired.
Able to develop software inC, C++, Ada, and/or Java is required. Need excellent written and oral communication skills. Must participate actively in a team environment and be willing to lead teams from time to time.
Qualifications: BS degree required with preference for Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Systems Engineering.
