Software Development Engineer in Test at Amazon (Irvine, CA) (allows remote)
Located in Orange County, CA the Kindle Fire and the Amazon Appstore are changing the way people think about mobile computing. The Amazon Appstore for Android is seeking talented software engineer to own testing of our international expansion for Android Appstore. About you:
- Super Dynamo Engineer.
- You are hacker who enjoys breaking software.
- You are basically a Software Developer Engineer building systems to test the product.
- You are a leader and look for opportunities to improve the effectiveness efficiency of everything you touch.

- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field, or 4+ years relevant work experience.
- 6+ years professional experience in software development or testing.
- Conviction to stand up for quality issues.
- Sound computer Science fundamentals in object-oriented design, Problem solving and in data structures.
- Proficiency in, at least, one modern OO programming language such as Java, C#, C++.
- Experience taking a leading role in building complex software systems that have been successfully delivered to customers.
- Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior management to collect requirements and report product status/failure.
- Experience mentoring junior software engineers to improve their skills, and make them more effective, product software engineers.
- Experience influencing software engineers best practices within your team.
- End-to-end testing and quality experience.
- Ability to break the complex software systems.
- Multi-lingual / Internationalization Experience
