About the Job
Reporting to: Software Development Manager ('SDM')
Role
Working as part of a team to develop software components to be used in business systems software including Business Process Management, Finance and Accounting, Knowledge Management, Master Data Management and integration components - mostly for large legal and professional services firms.
Responsibilities
- Development of software according to written specifications.
- Unit testing of developed components.
- Documentation of developed components when required.
- Maintenance of developed components.
- Make effective use of AITD's resources (including people, money and equipment).
- Make effective use of supplier resources.
- Provide SDM with regular reports on projects and ongoing issues.
- Follow all relevant 'house' standards and methodologies.
- Keep accurate time records of all business activities carried out.
- Aspire to and achieve the highest professional development standards.
- Attend technical and personal development training from time to time as agreed with SDM.
- Other responsibilities as set out in the firm's standard employment contract.

Hours of Work
7.5 hours per working day, normally 9am to 5.30pm, with one hour for lunch.

Required Skills and Experience
- Evidence of aptitude for software development.
- Good working knowledge of MS Office, Outlook, Visio and Project.
- Ideally experience of working with relevant technology in the professional services sector.
Required Qualifications
- Degree standard education (Maths, Sciences or IT preferred)
- Ideally Microsoft developer qualifications
- C#, .NET Framework, ASP.NET, WCF, WPF, HTML, Microsoft SQL Server
