Software Development Engineer ? Web Development, Next Gen Amazon Appstore

The Next Gen Amazon Appstore Team is focused on building a world-class retail and developer experience using web services (Java/C++) and advanced web development technologies (HTML5, JavaScript, CSS, JSP, PERL, etc.) ? and we?re hiring. The Next Gen Amazon Appstore team is looking for a Web Development Engineer to build products focused on the browser-based customer experience for the Appstore across platforms (desktop and mobile devices) and to develop value-add SDKs for mobile app developers. You will be part of a high-performance engineering team responsible for products and systems that allow us to execute against our vision. In this role you will: Be a champion for the user: Insist on the highest standards, create functional and engaging features, and ensure their needs always come first Help drive the architecture and technology choices that enable a world-class user experience Be responsible for designing, developing and deploying medium sized projects Utilize user feedback and metrics to deliver rapid iterations of software features Solve difficult problems with elegant and practical code Raise the bar on quality, consistency, maintainability, efficiency, security and all the other things that make great software great Help define engineering best practices and provide technical mentorship to other members of the engineering team
