Software Development Manager at Amazon (Slough, United Kingdom) (allows remote)
As a software manager within an Amazon group company, you will be responsible for leading a team of software engineers responsible for the design, development, testing, and operations of next-generation Book Depository website systems, both on the current platform (LAMP with PHP) and as the leader of migration to a new architecture (Java and SOA using AWS and exclusive Amazon systems). Our successful candidate will have an established background in developing customer-facing experiences, strong technical abilities, excellent project management skills, great spoken and written communication, a motivation to achieve results in a fast-paced environment, ability to influence and collaborate across teams, great analytical skills - and a passion for books!Our software managers are responsible for collaboration with partner business, operations and technical teams in TBD's UK and Egypt offices and across Amazon's worldwide technical community. Our managers mentor and provide technical guidance for junior developers on the team.
