Software Development Manager recruitment
Ipreo is growing! We are looking for additional technical leaders to make our growth plans come to fruition. Our Development Manager will be overseeing technical leads and software developers in an application development team. In addition, the Development Manager will be advising and partnering with our business leaders to create exceptional financial services applications.
Job Responsibilities
- Technical leadership of several key commercial product offerings
- Managing technical team leaders
- Mentoring and leadership over high performing engineering staff
- Partnering with business managers and analysts to deliver transactional solutions to tier 1 global brokerage houses
- Bring best practice expertise and prescriptive guidance to local and remote development efforts
- Manage risk and realize commercial opportunity at all stages in the design/delivery process.
- Plan and execute projects with defined scope, quality and budgets.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in the development preferably in Microsoft technologies
- Experience managing full life-cycle software development projects a must.
- 3+ years of management experience
- BA/ BS degree or equivalent work experience in related field required.
- Proficient in requirement gathering, both in functional requirements and non-functional requirements.
- Expertise in all areas of technical design and delivery including object modeling, framework creation, quality processes, load testing and secure practices a requirement
- Demonstrated ability to manage technical teams of 10-40.
- Management of offshore resources and.or teams in multiple locations preferred.
- Candidate should have exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, as well as excellent listening skills.
- Must be able to communicate effectively with C-level executives internally and externally.
- Financial services industry experience a benefit.
- Experience working with enterprise, mission critical transactional applications a requirement. Microsoft (.Net) background preferred but not required
