Ability to Obtain Interim Clearance (Pre-Start) and Final Clearance (Post Start) - US Citizenship Required about security clearance definitions Position Description Software Engineer for the Boeing team in Colorado. Position is based in several front-range locations including the Boeing Denver Engineering Center in Aurora, Colorado and the Boeing Colorado Springs facilities in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Member of a software development team tasked to design, develop, test, demonstrate, deploy, support and deliver leading edge, enterprise architecture solution software in support of Government and commercial systems. Required to develop and integrate services within a network-centric and geographically distributed environment. Will implement distributed application software written in Java for Windows and Linux based platforms using OOA/OOD practices and Agile/SCRUM software development processes. Duties include design code reviews and test, adherence to CM practices, statusing progress, developing technical system documentation and personal task management. Performs software research and trade studies. Troubleshoots software issues. Works under general supervision. Position involves travel within the US. Typical Education/Experience Level 1 - Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard. Level 2 - Degree and typical experience in engineering classification: Bachelor's and 2 or more years experience or a Master's degree with experience.
