- Bachelors degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science or Engineering or related field

Software engineer responsible for architecting, implementing, and scaling our next generation security information event system using technologies such as Event Logging, Syslog, NetFlow, and IPFIX. Will be working on a highly distributed, multi-processor system that provides leading edge security and performance. The ideal candidate will be a strong C software engineer that has designed and developed extensively. Candidate is expected to have a good understanding of multi-threaded programming and experience with performance and scalability aspects of software development.
Responsibilities:
- Architect, design and develop next generation security information event system
- Analyze and improve efficiency, scalability, and reliability of event processing components
- Apply an in depth understanding and experience with networking technologies such as Event Logging, Syslog, NetFlow, and IPFIX
- Provide technical direction and leadership for security information events
Qualifications:
- Development in C
- Experience with VxWorks
- Strong programming and debugging skills
- Ability to quickly isolate and troubleshoot issues
- Good communication skills
- Confidentiality/Integrity: IPsec, route-based VPNs, SSL-VPN, single and multi-factor user authentication schemes
- Deep Packet Inspection: IDS/IPS, gateway/cloud-based anti-malware technologies, advanced understanding of DPI concepts, designs, and implementations
