This position is for a Software Engineer II (E02) on the Lynx program supporting the Planning and Scheduling (PS) Integrated Product Team (IPT).Lynx is the Raytheon program to develop the Mission Control System (MCS) for Boeing's Common Ground System (CGS) in Seal Beach, CA. The CGS is part of the Boeing National Systems programs, supporting multiple programs and customers.MCS receives tasking from external sources and creates mission plans and schedules to optimize user satisfaction while managing numerous space vehicle (SV) constraints. MCS, written in C++ and Java, translates the schedule into vehicle commands, commands the SV, and receives and processes telemetry from the SV. MCS plans and manages all SV housekeeping activities, such as calibrations, orbit adjusts, and SV deployment and initialization. MCS brings a new level of automation and responsiveness to national systems.Key responsibilities for the qualified candidate include:Reviewing requirements with Systems Engineering, System Architect and Software Team LeadSoftware design activities and creating/maintaining artifacts using Rational RoseCode and thorough unit test of MCS PS softwareSupport test integration as necessaryAnalysis, assessment, and workoff of discrepancy reportsProvide weekly status (technical and schedule) for own taskRequired Skills: * Must have at least 2 years experience: * developing applications in C++ * integrating software components * using Object Oriented Design methodologies * using SW Development tools such as the Rational Tool Suite (Purify, PureCov, ClearCase, ClearQuest) * Web service development to include familiarity with at least one of the following: * Oracle Service Bus (OSB) Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) implementation * Web Service Description Language (WSDL) * Simple Object Access Protocol (SOAP) conveyed using HTTP * Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) * gSOAP and JAX-WS Toolkits * soapUI Test Tool * Must have a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or another engineering degree that provides a computer science education. * Must be a US Citizen with an ability to receivea TS/SCI, SSBI security clearanceDesired Skills/Experience: * Prior experience on large scale (100+ engineer) programs * Experience with lean, iterative software development methodologies * Satellite Mission Management experience * Java, PERL, TCL/TK, Jython skills * Deployment and publishing of web servicesRequired Education(including Major):Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or another engineering degree that provides a computer science education.
