Software Engineer -Java Web Developer Job in Greenbelt 20770, Maryland Us
INNOVIM is seeking candidates for a full-time, experienced software engineer position in Greenbelt, MD. Duties will include: design and coding, data development, testing, documentation, website administration, IT management, direct customer support and training, and technology assessments. Candidate needs to be self-starter and willing to learn application software and operations. Employee will work closely with Architect and Senior Software Engineer in design, coding and testing functions. Candidate may work with a diverse set of customers.
KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist with software development, including technology evaluation, planning, design, coding, integration, deployment and operational use
- Support new and existing code base to enhance software
- Define, document and execute tests of application software, generate test inputs and validate test outputs
- Fix defects associated with the application and potentially prototype new architectural features
- Write technical documentation, such as test plans, operations manuals, and status reports
- Research various implementations, such as building and optimizing complex browser-based applications.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, IST, EE or Mathematics
- 3 years programming experience in Java Enterprise applications
- Strong understanding of Java Enterprise architecture
- Experience with Google Web Toolkit for building and optimizing complex browser-based applications or similar browser based toolkit
- Familiar with full development lifecycle, software patterns and OOD/OOP
- Must possess excellent oral and written communications skills
- Ability and desire to understand and master new technologies quickly
- Ability to quickly understand and solve unique and undocumented programming problems.
- Must be energetic and a self-starter
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident
