Software Engineer Job in Billerica 01821, Massachusetts US
The Software Engineer will be responsible for developing and supporting control systems software for NEXX Systems’ semiconductor processing equipment. The candidate must be familiar with C/C# software development including the development of communication modules and graphical user interfaces. The candidate’s primary focus will be on the development of software modules for the integration of various third party semiconductor automation subsystems including front-end robots. The candidate will also collaborate with mechanical and electrical engineering to develop/improve the overall functionality of the company’s processing equipment. Some travel will be required.
Position Responsibilities:
- Develop and support control system software
- Participate in system engineering specification development
- Support system documentation
- Interface with customers to define, qualify and improve products
- Support product transition into manufacturing
- Provide field support
Requirements:
- BS in Computer Science/Computer and Electrical Engineering
- 1-2 years of experience programming in C/C#
- Experience writing communication modules and graphical user interfaces
- Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing
- Ability to relate ideas clearly and concisely to all levels of the organization
- Knowledge of modern control system hardware and the semiconductor industry
