Portrait Software, a Pitney Bowes Business Insight Company, is currently seeking to recruit an experienced C#/.NET Software Engineer.

The C#/.NET Software Engineer will have a challenging and interesting position working in a Fortune 500 Company and within a dedicated commercial software house with a team of c 1000 engineers worldwide, engaging in Agile/SCRUM practices with emphasis on test-driven development.

The C#/.NET Software Engineer will be based out of our Henley upon Thames office in the Southern Oxford area.

Role Description

We are currently expanding our development efforts within our Product Engineering group, and are looking to recruit a Software Engineer to join the team.  The successful candidate will be responsible for developing all aspects of our product set, from the initial specification, through design and coding, to developer testing.  The role offers an exciting opportunity to work within an experienced and customer-driven engineering team.

These are challenging positions playing a vital part throughout the whole product development cycle and requiring a broad skill set. The successful candidates will be able to demonstrate an enthusiasm for producing innovative software products, the technical skills and methodical approach to ensure the timely delivery of releases, and the attitude required to design and deliver pragmatic and high quality solutions to our customers’ needs.

Responsibilities

q  Full development lifecycle responsibility in a team responsible for one or more core products

q  Developing new functionality in our core product set, including a new set of web-based applications

Key Skills

Essential Skills

q  3-4 years in a professional software development environment.

q  Programming in C#/.NET

q  Experience in Web Development (ASP.NET, DHTML, JavaScript, AJAX, jQuery, CSS XSLT)

q  Test-driven development (NUnit)
