JustKidsStore is a quickly growing e-commerce site seeking a new Software Engineer. The desired candidate will have the ability to translate our expanding business requirements into system specifications and determine appropriate system architecture design to support a large-scale e-commerce site. The person chosen will manage the design, development, testing and support of all aspects and components of our system.
Immediate consideration to any candidate that has expert knowledge of PHP and Java - and will be able to transfer and improve upon our current system (written in PHP) into a Java based system.
The chosen person must manage: priorities, project plans, tasks and issues as well as assist to determine the future direction and strategy for the evolution of JustKidsStore. Previous experience with developing e-commerce platforms and content management systems, as well as knowledge of web security, Linux and SEO concepts are highly recommended.
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree or higher in computer science
Minimum 5+ years of software development experience
5+ years of web application development experience
Expert knowledge of PHP, HTML
Expert in SQL/database skills and MySQL
Experience working in Linux
Experience developing e-commerce platforms
Experience with content management integration
Bonus if you know: JavaScript, CSS, JSP, Spring MVC
and common testing frameworks JUnit, Mockito, Selenium
Desired Skills:
Ability to quickly identify and fix defects in code authored by others
Experience developing Web services
Self-starter capable of multi-tasking
Strong written, oral and interpersonal skills
Experience with SEO concepts
Experience with Social APIs (Facebook, Twitter, etc.)
Salary:
60 - 90k DOE
