The Software Engineer develops and supports Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. shoreside and shipboard software systems. Responsibilities cover a broad scope of software engineering tasks ranging from designing and developing new features/applications, integrating existing systems/technologies and supporting internal applications deployed globally.
- Bachelor of Science or Master of Science in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Information Technology
- Preferred GPA: 3.2/4.0 or higher
- Solid foundation in Computer Science / Engineering (Data Structures and Algorithms course ware)
- Algorithmic and problem solving skills
- Hands-on programming experience with at least one programming language (Java, C#, Python, etc)
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Preferred Qualifications:
· Excellent programming skills in an Integrated Development Environment tool (Eclipse, NetBeans, VisualStudio, etc.)
· Web development experience (HTML, CSS, Javascript, etc)
· Mobile application development experience (iOS, Android)
· Knowledge of database systems, data modeling and SQL
· Strong written and verbal communication skills
