Panasonic Electric Works Laboratory of America is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Panasonic focusing on the research and development of unique technologies in the area of embedded device networking software.
We are seeking a SW Engineer to join our Quality Assurance team, located in Salt Lake City, Utah, to provide support for the quality assurance of device networking technology.
In this position you will:
- support test case automation enhancement and maintenance using an established custom test harness;
- work closely with software developers including participating in the product development cycle, reviewing and debugging product code, running code analysis tools, and incorporating test results into product releases;
- develop software testing programs and test automation using a variety of programming languages;
- work with others in technical services, assist in tracking, resolving, and verifying bugs;
- and provide support to software engineers.
Required qualification:
- BS in Computer Science or related technical field.
- Experience programming in Java, C#, or C; experience with object-oriented programming.
- Troubleshooting and debugging in a Linux or Windows environment.
- A willingness to learn new technologies and programming languages.
Additional skills preferred:
- Knowledge of database concepts including report generation using Microsoft technologies.
- Experience in device networking industry.
- Experience with virtualization technologies for repeatable testing frameworks.
- Knowledge of STAF/STAX, SML, and python.
