We are seeking an experienced Software Engineer to be involved in Engine and Vehicle Control Application Feature Design using Matlab/ Simulink, Configuration control and management by ClearQuest/ ClearCase and Static Analysis using QA C to MISRA (plus local) guidelines.
As Software Engineer you will also be involved in Integration Testing on Bench, Rig and Engine, Using load box / test harness / HIL, Using commercial software in-circuit emulation and background debug tools (e.g. EST BDM probe (PowerPC), Lauterbach, and with local calibration and debug tools, using CAN and K-line interfaces, Visu, ATI, Gredi etc. You will also support System engineers in Validation Test.
To succeed as Software Engineer you must be qualified to degree level with experience in an embedded application field as well as experience of developing real time systems. You must have strong embedded real time software skills using C, Configuration management experience using Clearcase and experience of real time debugging using in-circuit emulation tools.
Strong process discipline is also required and you must be willing to work as part of a team, but also at times operate alone.
Experience in the automotive field would be desirable though not essential, as would an awareness of the SPICE assessment model, experience of QAC, Clearquest, GNU toolchain and a knowledge of the C programming language
