Job Title: Software Engineer (.NET, C# SQL Server)

Reports To: Director, Software Engineering
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
In this key position, you will be responsible for the design and development of web based and console applications in ASP.NET and C#. The systems developed will be used to enhance the product offerings of comScore and will include new development.
• Participate in the requirements gathering, design and development of new systems to be incorporated into and improve the existing processing environment
• Develop enhancements to current solutions
• Guide group strategy and create action plans and goals
• Participate in ongoing research and evaluation of new related technologies
• Exercise your experience in the software development lifecycle through analysis, design, development, testing and deployment of this system
• Collaborate with 3-4 team members to identify and implement project solutions
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
• An enthusiasm for software development
• 2+ years of experience of developing and supporting web applications
• Candidates should possess a strong knowledge of C# and a solid foundation in database development skills
• 2+ years relational database development using Microsoft SQL Server. Candidates should possess experience in writing stored procedures and reporting queries
• Experience developing with .NET framework 3.5 and above
• Solid understanding of object oriented methodologies
• Strong skills in a large-scale, multiple database environment are strongly preferred – preferably on 2008
• Experience developing with AJAX and JavaScript a plus
• Experience with Agile software development a plus
• Excellent oral, written and computer communication skills with strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
• The nature of the team’s dynamics will require an individual that is able to work closely in a collaborative role with other team members, as well as complete tasks individually as assigned
