As an engineer you will work as part of a highly capable team and will get a chance to have a big influence on a product that will change touch interaction as we know it.
your mission
As part of our engineering team you will be responsible for a wide variety of tasks including helping to build and improve our core C engine, implementing developer-facing libraries using our engine on various platforms, working with OEMs to help define and implement APIs to integrate with their systems, and improving/building sample mobile applications. This job will challenge your abilities and teach you new things daily. You must be a highly motivated, self-driven person who can take ownership of challenging projects, solve tough problems, work in a fast-paced environment, and come up with new ideas.

Skills Requirements
Must haves:
- BS in Computer Science or related field
- At least 3 years industry experience
- Experience in rolling out a product
- Comfortable in programming both at the application level and systems level
- Comfortable in designing and implementing developer-consumable libraries
- Highly proficient in both C and Java (or other object-oriented language)
- Proficient in C++, Python, Bash scripting
Great to have:
- Experience using sensors on mobile devices
- Familiarity with iOS and/or Android development
- Familiarity with Windows programming
- Acoustic/signal processing experience
- Machine learning experience
- MATLAB proficiency
- Portfolio of completed projects (personal, academic, or professional)

Our technology is an enhancement to touch interaction that allows screens to know how the finger is being used for input: fingertip, knuckle or nail. We are based in San Jose, California, with an RD team in Pittsburgh, PA, and are a VC-funded spin-off from Carnegie Mellon University’s Human Computer Interaction Institute.
